Getting Started

How do I create a Paymenty account?

Click Start for free from the Paymenty homepage and complete the registration form. You'll need your organisation's legal name, registration number, and an email address. Many accounts can start within 1 business day after a successful KYB review, with final activation depending on the verification checks for your jurisdiction and organisation type. Non-profit organisations should indicate their non-profit registration number during signup for priority processing.

What documents do I need to open an account?

The exact documents depend on your organisation type. Generally, you'll need: proof of legal registration (e.g., trade register extract, articles of association, or non-profit certificate), proof of identity for directors and beneficial owners, and your organisation's designated bank account details for settlement.

How long does account verification take?

Account verification is handled through our regulated payment partner’s identity and business verification flow. The duration depends on the checks required for your jurisdiction and organisation type — you can monitor the live verification status in your Paymenty dashboard.

Is there a minimum transaction volume required?

No. There is no minimum volume requirement on any Paymenty plan. You only pay transaction fees when payments are successfully processed.

Payments & Settlement

When will funds be settled to my bank account?

Each organisation processes payments through its own connected payment account, so settlement timing follows your configured payout schedule. You can review and adjust the payout schedule at any time from your dashboard.

What payment methods do you support?

We support major card schemes including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other major networks, along with Apple Pay and Google Pay wherever cards are accepted. Local methods such as iDEAL (Netherlands) and Bancontact (Belgium) are supported, and in-person card acceptance via Tap to Pay on iPhone and Android is available. Additional payment methods can be enabled once your connected account is active — availability depends on your country and account configuration.

Can I accept payments in multiple currencies?

Yes. Paymenty supports multiple currencies (EUR, GBP, USD, CHF and other major currencies). Currency conversion and conversion fees are governed by standard FX rates and visible in your dashboard.

What happens if a payment fails or is disputed?

Failed and disputed payments (including chargebacks) are reflected in your Paymenty dashboard via real-time webhook events. Dispute responses and evidence submissions are handled through your connected payment account.

Compliance & Security

Is Paymenty secure for card payments?

Card payments on Paymenty are processed by a regulated, certified payment partner. Raw card data is handled exclusively inside our payment partner’s environment and never touches Paymenty servers, so your organisation inherits a strong baseline of payment security without certifying infrastructure yourselves.

How is customer data protected?

Application and customer data are stored within the European Union and transmitted over TLS-encrypted connections. We follow GDPR principles for data minimisation, consent, and subject access. Card data is handled by our payment partner and is never stored on Paymenty servers.

Do you perform background checks on organisations?

Yes. Every organisation completes identity and business verification (KYB) before live payments are enabled. Our payment partner also applies ongoing risk monitoring on every transaction processed through your account.

Can I generate compliance reports for my regulator or auditor?

Yes. Paymenty lets you export transaction histories in CSV and PDF formats from your dashboard for use with your accountant, auditor, or board.

Products & Features

How does the mobile app work?

Download the Paymenty app for iOS or Android and pair the device with your branch using a 6-digit pairing code. Once paired, the device can accept in-person payments via certified terminal hardware and Tap to Pay on iPhone or Android. Each device authenticates with its own scoped token.

How do I set up a kiosk?

Once a device is paired with a branch, you can switch it into kiosk mode from the app. Payment amounts and content are managed centrally from the admin dashboard, and exiting kiosk mode requires the device PIN.

Can I customise the look of my checkout page?

Yes. Each branch’s public web channel can be branded with your logo, colours, and a custom domain.

Can I create recurring payment programmes?

Recurring payments are on our roadmap. Today, Paymenty focuses on one-time payments and amount presets. Reach out via the contact form if recurring is critical to your use case — we can advise on the timeline.

Billing & Account Management

Can I change my plan?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply from the next billing cycle. Annual plan subscribers who downgrade will receive a prorated credit.

How do I cancel my account?

You can cancel your Paymenty account at any time from your account settings with no cancellation fees. After cancellation, your account remains active until the end of your current billing period. Dashboard access to your data and transaction history remains available for 12 months after cancellation. Note that legal retention obligations (such as transaction and KYC records) continue to apply as described in our Privacy Policy.

Do you offer refunds on plan fees?

We offer a full refund of the first month's subscription fee if you cancel within 14 days of your first paid charge. Transaction fees are non-refundable.
